ABC Radio National’s ‘Encounter’ broadcast of the recently held symposium ‘Why Poland?’

ABC Radio National’s Encounter will be broadcasting a symposium recently held in Melbourne titled ‘Why Poland?: Facing the Demons of Polish-Jewish History’ on Saturday 1 December at 5pm (repeat Wednesday 5 December at 1pm) – http://abc.net.au/radionational/programs/encounter/why-poland3f/4386328

The symposium, presented by The Australian Institute of Polish Affairs and The Australian Society of Polish Jews and Their Descendants, included Professor Martin Krygier, Bernard Brzegowksi-Korbman, Adam Warzel and Krystyna Duszniak.  The symposium was held to bring together both Jewish and non-Jewish people of Polish descent.

It’s a powerful broadcast and includes questions from the audience.

The program will also be available to stream online at abc.net.au/radionational/encounter after the first broadcast and to download as a podcast.

The copies of symposium papers are available under the Symposia Papers tab.
