Meeting with the Consul General of Poland – 1 May 2025

On 1 May 2025, our Melbourne-based members had the pleasure of meeting the Consul General of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Piotr Rakowski. The event took place at the private residence of our member, Eva Collins, and was by invitation only.

Consul Rakowski spoke on the topic: Poland at the Helm: Priorities and Challenges of the 2025 EU Council Presidency, which was followed by a Q&A session. It allowed our members to interact directly with the Consul, who generously shared his expertise in European Union affairs.

After the official part concluded, we moved to the Sugo Italian restaurant nearby for dinner and the more informal continuation of our discussions. It was an excellent opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the Polish diplomatic service and to introduce our Institute to the newly appointed Consul General.
