On Tuesday, 2nd April 2025, AIPA President Dr Alexandra Dunwill attended a distinguished networking reception hosted at the Australian Club in Melbourne. The event was jointly organised by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Canberra, and the Polish Australian Chamber of Commerce.
The evening brought together key figures from both the public and private sectors, offering a valuable platform for international engagement and collaboration. A particular highlight was the presence of the Polish Ministerial and Business Delegation, led by the Hon. Krzysztof Galos, Undersecretary of State and Deputy Minister for Climate and Environment.
The delegation included representatives from some of Poland’s major mining and energy companies such as KGHM, Orlen, Tauron, and Weglokoks, among others. In attendance were the representatives of Polish businesses participating in the Banksia Foundation’s acceleration project, visiting Australia to explore opportunities in the sustainability and innovation sectors.
A personal thank you to AIPA member Mr Michal Golas, Head of Victoria’s chapter at the Polish Australian Chamber of Commerce and Mr Rafal Jarosz, Head of Australia’s Office at the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. The event was an excellent opportunity to build connections, share insights, and explore prospects for deeper cooperation between Australia and Poland across key industries, including energy, mining, and climate initiatives.
